If you were saying before last year Sale had pitched 120 innings in 4 years. Now that Sale has restored his value trading him now is best (ignoring the rib injury). Okay sure, I guess. As an asset valuation it might be a mathematical certainty. Since AA has this, ‘sign an extension with us we don’t trade you’ clause that alone makes it seem doubtful. Also, Sale making 18 next year as a possible dominant starter and he really likes it here and could be willing to be the next Charlie Morton signing year to year with the Braves. To me it seems short sighted but again it is a viable choice. Ozuna has earned his status as a veteran to try and play through it the way Freddie would. Agree or not, Freddie had the right to play even if it might have hurt the team. I’m not sure Ozuna is playing that level of bad, but he could get worse. I would be okay with sending Harris down for a few weeks and see if he can make the adjustment. Albies, Riley, and whoever else will simply have to turn it around. I would still pick up Albies option at those point but i am jaded.
